Description

Photographs of the Patients Pavilion from the collection of Dr. Forrest Pitt Baker including a group photograph of the "Girls on the Porch".  The pavilion was divided Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest porches.

These photographs demonstrate a simple and economical building type designed for patients who needed comfort, good nursing, and housing supplied by a general hospital.

One of the photographs is labeled 'Ladies Pavilion EOSS'. The Patients Pavilion was exclusive to female patients and EOSS was an abbreviation for Eastern Oklahoma State Sanatorium, one of several names associated with the sanatorium throughout its history.
