Eugene Tabor was a WWII veteran who was diagnosed with tuberculosis in the 1950's.  His mother, Emily Tabor, was a sanatorium employee who contracted tuberculosis while working at the sanatorium.

Their lives are chronicled in "A Family Interrupted" written by Eugene's older daughter, Bernadette Tabor Pruitt, an author living in Wichita Fall, Texas.
