Description

In poor condition, this building is one of the site's oldest buildings with only the power house predating it.

It was exceptional for its time in terms of style, cost, and amenities. The two-story red brick structure is severly altered. Modification to the building's fenestration is clearly evident in the building's thirteen window sets (originally two windows/openings to a set) with the closing of all or a portion of each window set with a brick herringbone pattern similar to that at the Harper building.

A comparison of the building, now known as Baker Hall, to an archival photograph substantiates that the entryway has also been severely modified from a simple Moderne design to a Classical Revival design with sidelights, wood pilasters and pediment.
